Project Description

UNICEF Pakistan funded projects as part of its regular program and emergency relief program in thematic program areas, i.e. Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health, Nutrition, Education, and Child Protection across the country. To assist the field offices in regular monitoring, the emergency response operation, identifying gaps, issues, and difficulties faced by women and children and reporting to the field offices on a regular basis, UNICEF selected APEX Consulting (APEX) as a partner to provide field monitors/reporters working under provisional offices of UNICEF.

Services provided by APEX

The services provided by the firm included development and refinement of instruments to monitor the UNICEF's implementing partners activities in Punjab. APEX mobilized and trained 05 monitoring teams consisted of 10 monitors with experience in program monitoring, reporting, community development, social research, and civil development work. Field teams used monitoring guidelines and observations to collect information about Health, Water and Sanitation, Education, and Child Protection. Weekly and Bi-weekly monitoring reports were presenting possibilities, gaps, and success stories. Daily monitoring updates were also submitted to provisional hubs/field offices of UNICEF.
